Banana Lake Boat Ramp Re-Opens

June 24th, 2010 3:20 pm | by Friends of the Parks by Glenda Mink

Polk County’s public boat ramp on Banana Lake will officially re-open Friday, June 25,  just one week after unsafe conditions closed the popular boating access.  The ramp was temporarily closed on June 18 for repairs, needed as a result of erosion underneath the boat ramp approach by the County’s Parks and Natural Resources Division.  All other Banana Lake Park amenities remained open to the public during corrective maintenance to the ramp.  Any questions or concerns may be directed to James Kummer, Parks and Recreation District Manager, at 499-2613 or jameskummer@polk-county.net.
