Curb Appeal – Get ‘Em On the Drive By

When selling your home curb appeal is one of the first things that you should address. If a potential buyer drives by a home that the exterior is not appealing, then they may never go inside to see what else the home has to offer. Look around at your neighbors and assess what you can do to make your home stand out.

Let’s start off  by saying we are going to give your exterior a manicure. Here are a few simple basic tasks that will make a huge difference.

•           driveway and walkways should be edged

•           plant beds should be free of weeds

•           windows should not be covered by overgrown bushes

•           replace any dead or dying plants

•           add color with seasonal flowering plants

•           pressure wash driveway and walkways

•           add landscape lighting to your walkway

•           give your front door a fresh coat of paint

•           replace worn hardware and doorbell

•           replace entry lighting with updated fixtures

There is still a glut of homes on the market, so make the best of that first potential buyer.
